2025 Spring approaching summer solstice

The indigo seedlings are weathering the wind thanks to a makeshift cold frame -aka a large piece of recycled plastic draped over grow light stand and weighted with bricks. I spent the winter and early spring combining fabrics I dyed in the fall, with ink, paint, pigment and paper and getting to know canvas as a fiber, not only a substrate for paint. Playing with liminal 2D- 3D off the wall space. At the heart of the work is my need to engage with earth, the weather, and grow in trust that life is a force much greater than fear. Attending to life keeps me here where I can work like a plant, transforming light and matter into what I hope nourishes the world as well as it does me through the process of making.
